Turkey make it thorugh to the Semi finals of the Euro cup after a 1-1 draw and a 3-1 penalty win.
Croatia.
Turkey.
Both teams were ready to battle it out but only one team had the chance to follow through to the semi-finals.
Croatia were driving their forces at the Turkish goal and the opposition were looking pretty fierce themselves.
Both teams put the field to good use and they did the same to the goalkeepers.
Croatia was looking that sligtly bit stronger than the Turkish, which is heavily due to their strong, solid defense.
Olic was really the man that drove the team in both the first and the second half.
A would be goal by Olic in the 62nd minute was ruled offside.
The amount of free kicks given away in this game was almost laughable and it's frustrating to the flow of the game but it didnt matter because of the quality that the two teams showed.
Every now and again you would feel a goal coming but it never really got to that stage.
At 90 minutes there were no results and with Croatia looking more threatening, Turkey needed to amplify their attacks and shoot the ball where it is most needed.
EXTRA TIME
After 90 minute of normal and seven minutes of extra time and all together amount of five minutes stopage time Olic finally retired from the game that he so highly contributed in and Klasnic was the substitute.
Three minutes into the game Klasnic commited a foul and joined the long list of the other players.
Turkey began to lift their game and the shots were now more frequent and more aggressive.
The first half of extra time concluded, still no nothing on the score sheet and the players took their rest to prepare for the desparation of the second half.
Just when you thought that the game was entering a penalty shoot out Croatia scored in the 29th minute by a fresh leged Klasnic.
Croatia was sure to win only when Turkey's Semih Senturk shot through goal in the 32nd minute.
And eventually the game did go to penalties, the cruelest way of sending a team home in the quater finals of the Euro cup.
PENALTIES
Croatia's modric missed the first penalty but Turkey's Arda Turan didnt and scored.
Number 11 Srna Scored for Croatia and so did goal scorer Senturk.
Rakitic missed for Croatia but Hamit Altintop scored for Turkey.
Petric's shot was saved by the goalkeeper which meant that Turkey made it to the semi finals.
They did what they set out to do and what a remarble game it was.
Really did leave you at the edge of your seat and to speak honestly Croatia played the stronger game of football, but this is the Euro Cup, an unpredictable competition where anything can happen.
This is the first time that Turkey have made it this far in this beautiful European competition.
