You cant help but get excited when Netherland is playing football.
It's something about their style ofplay and the way they just glide across the feild that makes you ask for more.
So how do they do it?
How do they play so well and why are they succeeding in the Euro Cup?
I'm no football expert but i've watched my fair share of the beautiful game and now i can recognise talent when i see it.
The Dutch system of play is a simple one but it's also effective. they dont try to over complicate things, they just do what needs to be done but they do it with flare.
THE DEFENSE
This is my cheap interpretation of the Dutch defense based on what i have seen so far in the Euro cup.
Their defense cirlce the goal and they either expand across the feild or contract depending on the situation, but they stay in their formation.
THE MIDFIELD
What i like about the Dutch midfield is that they know where they should when they need to be. The midfield try to sto any opposition attack and they assist their own attack. They adapt to being attacking and defending midfielders but they dont forget that the position they need to be in. They are very disciplined players.
THE ATTACKING FORWARDS
Robben and Van Persie are good examples of Dutch attackers. When they receive the ball they run without hesitation and expect back up ready, to support them.
They play a quik game, one touch and they pass. they allow the ball to move across the filed. The players always have their feet to the ground. The Dutch game is organised but it's not boring.
So thats my view in the Dutch system.
