SPANISH OPEN THE KEY TO FINALS
Spain make their way to the finals of the Euro Cup in a fulfilling 3-0 win against Russia.
FIRST HALF
Spain started their attacks early with the first threat coming from Fernando Torres with Sergio Ramos following up.
It seemed like Russia still had the loss against Spain in the group stages in mind from their quality of play.
Igor Akinfeev, the Russian goalkeeper was made to work extremely hard by the spanish attack from the very first of the game right to the very end.
The rain then interrupted the game and made it harder for both sides to perform at their best.
Russia was slowly getting into the game where as Spain was already in it.
In a unfortunate blow David villa had to come off with an injury and Cesc Fabregas had to come in.
There were big rearrangements made by the Spanish coach with the sudden changes to the attacking line-up.
Russia quickly acted against the spanish defense in the mist of the confusion but nothing was produced.
Fabregas adapted to the game and made his mark by creating the chances for Torres that villa is used to making.
SECOND HALF
Spain took the lead in the second half with a goal from Xavi Hernandez in the 50th minute, this drove Spain in a fireball of confidence.
Zhirkov was cautined by the referee in the 56th minute for a foul on Sergio Ramos.
Russia made two changes after the goal. Bilyaletdinov came in for Semshov and Saenko was substituted with Sychev.

Russia's game was not up to speed, not as it was against Netherland, they were not attacking and barely made it past the Spanish half.
Spain scored again on counterattck by Guiza in the 73rd minute, who minutes earlier entered the game as a substitute for Torres.
It looked more to be like the first meeting between Spain and Russia, in the 82nd minute, as Silva scored, making it the third goal for Luis Aragonez's men.
Russian fans were not happy as they were expecting more from their country men but the spanish were already celebrating with ensurance that their team will play in the finals.
Spain will now meet Germany in the final of the Euro cup in Vienna at Ernst Happel Stadium.
